If you have an issue with importing the video file correctly, this may occur if the video is encoded with H.265 (HEVC) codec.

open your original video file in the Movavi program to determine its codec

You can send your videos to yourselves via Telegram or What's App. These messengers change codec of the videos automatically. After this, please, download videos again and try to add them to the app.

If you are using files from your phone, you can change the format of your future recordings.
For iPhones:
Open Settings > Camera > Formats.
Under Camera Capture, you have two options: High Efficiency, or Most Compatible. Change the settings to Most Compatible, it will record your videos in MP4 format with H.264 codec.
For Android OS phones:
Open Camera. Tap Settings>Video>Preferences.
Select the Video Encoding option.
