It depends on the device you would like to watch your video on and on your original video resolution.
Technically, you can convert to a higher resolution, but the output might be distorted as there is nowhere to take the information on colours for the additional pixels.
For conversion of HD/FullHD videos and viewing them on computer we would recommend you to use the appropriate format from HD video or 4k formats' list - any format with 4K, 1080p or 720p resolution.
If you are going to watch this video on a portable device and would like to keep the file size low, choose the appropriate device format from the list of formats for Devices.
For social media, e.g. YouTube, type in the social media name in the search bar and select the corresponding format.
If you would like to watch a video on your DVD-player you can select one of the formats from DVD-Compatible video formats' list - either PAL- or NTSC-compatible format.
Please, note that you will need to burn the video to the DVD after that, since Video Converter does not have burning functionality.
Additionally, in Video Converter Premium 22 you can use the feature AI Upscaling:
It works as a separate module, where you can upscale your videos to a desired resolution. Note that AI Upscaling will increase the conversion time significantly.
