Please check the output file preview first.

To do that please open the Media Files menu and choose Open Recording File. Then, find the file in the Finder dialog box and click Open

The default locations for saving output files is  /Movies/Movavi product name/.

Check if the video is visible.

If it is, please select a different codec for the output.

Click Save As to open the output options.

At the top of the output options window, select a format you want to use.

A widespread codec for Mac OS is MP4 H.264.

If it is not, there might be the following reasons behind that:

1) The player you record from has an overlay feature.

Some players such as a default DVD player in MacOS, or iTunes/Appstore have an embedded overlay.

That is done for the sake of copyright protection by the software manufacturer, therefore, the only solution is using an alternative player.

Please note that Movavi products are not designed for breaking international or domestic copyright laws.

2) The browser or another software might have overlays or data protection feature.

If you make a record from a web browser, please try switching to Mozilla Firefox - yet it is reported to have less overlay plugins than other browsers.

3) A capture error has occurred.

Please try reinstalling the application.

If the problem occurs with each and every video, please contact us by creating the ticket via the button at the top right corner.
